Ndume Defies Party Decision, Intensifies Campaign To Become Senate President

Ali Ndume, senator representing Borno South district, had launched his nine-point agenda for his tenure if elected the Senate President of the 9th assembly. Ndume, on Tuesday, released the document despite the decision of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to back Ahmed Lawan, the current Senate Leader, for the same position. The senator in his nine-point agenda, promised to improve upon the performance of the 8th Senate. He also pledged to make the office of the Senate President less attractive by reducing the unnecessary privileges attached to it.

2019 UTME: JAMB extends printing of exam slips to April 4

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the process of printing of the 2019/2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination slip to Thursday, April 4. PREMIUM TIMES had reported how the board urged candidates to begin printing the notification slips for the main examination from April 2, about one week before the examination. This year, the sale or registration forms to all candidates (UTME/DE) including those outside Nigeria, started January 10 and ended February 21.

Bridget Okonji, a retiree, was among the 1,008 students of the Faculty of Education who were awarded a first degree on Tuesday at the Institution’s 2017/2018 Convocation Ceremonies.
